Director
Matevž was born in 1981 in Trbovlje. He dedicated first 3 years of his study to theology and right after he decided to change his life path and enrolled to AGRFT where he is just graduating in film directing. His first short film Almost six feet too deep (Prezgodaj dva metra spodaj) attended festivals world wide and won in Munchen (Luggi Waldleitner Preis for Best screenplay), grand prix in Lodz etc.
His graduation film Wolfy (Vučko) was nominated for Honorary Foreign Awards in the 35th Annual Student Academy Awards® competition.
Matevž also works as a screenwriter. Several of his scripts have won awards.
Matevž is YOUNG & FRESH director and screenwriter who know how to tell the story.
